Installing Windows Server 2008 RC1 on VMWare is dead simple.
First Download the necessary files:
1 Download the Windows Server 2008 Image from Microsoft
3 Download VMware virtual disk files
4 Download this VMWare configuration file or create an file here.
This is one of the best sidebars I have found.
It doesn’t suck up ram like Yahoo and Google.
It doesn’t mess up the Visual Studio short-cut Ctrl+Shift+B to build a project like Yahoos’ does.
It fits nicely on my both my 19 inch and 17 inch LCD’s.
I’m currently in the process of looking for a house and since I am a total geek I felt it was necessary to use technology to aid me in my quest.
It started out with me using Phat Notes, MS Streets &Trips with Pocket Streets and my Pocket PC (PPC-6600). But no that just wasn’t geek enough.
Now I using a Compaq tc440 Tablet PC (borrowed form work) with OneNote 2007, MS Street & Trips along with my Pocket PC.
So now instead of just looking for a house, I added a level of complexity that only a geek could love and understand.
Just in case you can find SqlHelper.cs which comes in Data Access Application Block for .NET v2.
