I found this post at the Ubuntu forums and it worked for me:
Ok, so there are other tutorials out there for the other 43xx cards, but from my experience, none of them have worked with the specific 4318 card. This way i will explain below is the only way i have gotten my 4318 card to work with 6.06
Extract the theme to /usr/share/themes for a system-wide install or to /home/USERNAME/.themes for a single-user install. The path should read something like /usr/share/themes/THEMENAME/xfwm4/ or /home/USERNAME/.themes/THEMENAME/xfwm4/, where THEMENAME is the name of the theme.
Linux and Wireless is currently a pain in the arse. Some wireless vendors are hip to Linux and others could care less. To get around the this issue Linux hackers and some vendors have created dirvers or hacks to get Linux and wifi in the sama bed.
This page is my resource and links page for trying to get wifi working on my Gateway MX6440 laptop which has a poorly supported Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller (rev 02). At some point I am going to buy either a USB Wifi, a PCMCIA Wifi Card or a miniPCI Wifi card.
Installing
Installing Fedora Core 5 on this rig was pretty easy. The only iffy area is the monitor. I first tried Generic LCD but it rendered everything skewed in 1024. I went into setup -> xconfig -> hardware and select Gateway and then ???????. I did this a few time until I got the screen to render in 1128×768 nicely.

Although you don’t need to go far to hear someone extolling the benefits of Linux and free software, many people still need to use other operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac OS X. Aside from personal choice, other reasons to use non-Linux operating systems include running applications that are available only on a particular OS, an employer mandating that you use a particular platform, or even a need to test software and services across different platforms. For some, the solution is a huge desk set up to accommodate three computers with three monitors and three keyboards/mice; however, there is a better way.
I have spent the past month evaluating every distro I could find. From HD Installes to Live CD/DVD’s and each one of them had a quirk that drove me nuts. I have 2 machines that are mine to ruin; (I have a 3rd comp but every time I wipe the drive my wife flips out because I deleted all of her stuff AGAIN!!) one is an HP Pavilion ze4560 1.8AMD/512RAM laptop and the other is an old PII 600mhz/396RAM mini-tower clone.
Just for clarity I didn’t bother trying to get the WiFi card running on most of these distros.

I recently had an issue come up about a link on our intranet that I shrugged off as a user error. In the end it was a user error but it was not an end user error it was a developer user error instead.
The intranet was set up by someone else and they used the a href attribute target=_new:
For years I assumed that this was the proper way to open a new window. That was until the issues was brought up to me and a junior developer started telling me how to do stuff. At first I shrugged it off as some weird IE setting because I could not replicate the behavior. The issue came back again so I figured I should get off my ass and look into it a little more.
